About this project
Escient Pharmaceuticals is a privately held biotechnology company in San Diego, advancing first-in-class drugs that target G protein-coupled receptors. The focus is the Mas-related family, the Mrgprs, with an initial push into neuro-immuno-inflammatory and autoreactive disease.
This was a full site redesign in WordPress, another engagement I took on as a contractor for AldenMC. The best part was the hero banner: a full-bleed receptor illustration sitting behind the line "Unleashing the therapeutic potential of MRGPRs", which set the tone for everything below it.
The company has since redesigned the site, so the link above points at a 2018 snapshot in the Internet Archive rather than the version live today.
