About this project
I worked on SOMAH (Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing) throughout my entire time at Center for Sustainable Energy, from 2018 to 2021, adding pages, updating the design, and handling ongoing patching and maintenance. SOMAH is California's billion-dollar solar equity program, administered by CSE on behalf of the CPUC to bring solar and battery storage to multifamily affordable housing, with most of the generated power flowing directly to tenants as lower utility bills. CSE served as the program's prime administrator, and the initiative is projected to save low-income households more than $1 billion in energy costs over its lifetime. The site started on Drupal 7, and I led the upgrade to Drupal 9 to keep the platform current and secure.
