Santa Rosa Junior College Microgrid

I built the Santa Rosa Junior College Microgrid project site from the ground up and maintained it during my time at Center for Sustainable Energy, from 2018 to 2021. CSE partnered with the Sonoma County Junior College District to design and implement a campus microgrid combining solar generation, battery storage, and demand management, aimed at supplying a large share of campus electricity while strengthening resilience against outages in a wildfire-prone region. CSE's role covered evaluating, testing, and verifying the system's distributed energy resources, along with project management, reporting, and technology transfer. The project set out to lower campus peak demand and emissions, improve grid resilience, and establish a replicable blueprint other college campuses could follow.
