A year after our first trip out to Sheep Canyon, we came back to the same spot almost to the week: same boulder-lined campsite, same quiet canyon, but a different crew and a more dialed-in setup this time around: shade canopies stretched between the rigs, solar panels catching the desert sun, and a proper basecamp for a couple of easy days doing nothing but sitting in camp chairs and enjoying the scenery.

It's become something of a tradition: Sheep Canyon has a way of pulling you back.
