Starting from the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway station at 8,516 feet, the hike to the summit of Mount San Jacinto at 10,834 feet offers some of the most dramatic terrain in Southern California. From desert floor to alpine wilderness in fifteen minutes by tram, and another few hours on foot to the top.

The views from the peak stretch across the Coachella Valley, the Salton Sea, and on a clear day all the way to the Mojave. This one earns every calorie burned getting there.
